Thermasteel eliminates thermal bridging
Definition: A thermal bridge, also called a cold bridge or heat bridge, is an area of an object (frequently a building) which has a significantly higher heat transfer rate than the surrounding materials resulting in an overall reduction in thermal insulation of the object or building.
Traditional framing and most walls systems today promote thermal bridging.
Air Infiltration: Infiltration is the unintentional or accidental introduction of outside air into a building, typically through cracks in the building envelope and through use of doors for passage. Infiltration is sometimes called air leakage. The leakage of room air out of a building, intentionally or not, is called exfiltration.
